Hey everyone,

I wanted to share something the Lord placed on my heart a while ago. Lately, I’ve been feeling a strong pushing to plan an outreach. I know many churches and charities are already do incredible work, but that doesn’t mean we can’t also step in. There is never too much help when it comes to showing people love.

I truly believe God is telling me to gather my friends and those close to me to do an outreach for the homeless. During Jesus’ time on Earth, Jesus served, HELPED, and loved others deeply. Thelma Lord also calls US to love one another and to treat our neighbours as we treat ourselves.

There are so many people living on the streets right now, and winter has already arrived (too quickky) and while we have warm homes, jackets/ warm clothing, and basic necessities, a lot of people unfortunately don’t have that privilege. We have families, comfort, warmth etc and these are some things that others unfortunately lack, especially around Christmastime.

There are people with no warm place to sleep, no food, no clean water etc.

Scripture reminds us: “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” It also says, “For I was hungry and you gave me meat; I was thirsty and you gave me drink; I was a stranger and you took me in; naked and you clothed me…”

Yet many homeless people are overlooked every day. The truth is, a lot of them didn’t even choose their current situation. Some turned to substances or fell into hardship in ways we can’t fully understand BUT we are still called to show mercy, grace, and compassion to everyone.

So with that being said, I feel led to gather my friends and raise donations to buy gloves, make food, get water, and put together small toiletry packs if possible. The plan is to go into town and hand these items out directly to those in need.

I’m asking if any of you would be willing to donate. Nothing is too small and nothing is too big. Every cent will go directly toward helping people who are less fortunate than us. I know this is the Nov,Dec,Jan season is where bills, Christmas shopping, and expenses pile up (sigh) im not ignoring anyone’s situation though compared to what some people face everyday we have to be extra grateful so in saying that; even the smallest contribution can make a huge difference and can go an extremely long way.

We have to remember: These are God’s children .. sons and daughters whether they know Christ or not.

This outreach is also an opportunity to evangelize and exercise the fruits of the Spirit and by Gods grace through that they may come to know Jesus.

Sometimes it’s not even about the food …. some people just want someone to talk to… companionship! Many homeless individuals are treated as though they aren’t human but they are. They feel, they hurt, they hope just like us.

If anyone would like to help or donate, it would mean so much to not me but the people who need it.

I’ll be using the donations to buy gloves, get food made in bulk, get containers, paper bags, water and everything else that’s needed. Cost of living has gone up, so anything helps.

Thank you so much, and may the good Lord bless you abundantly. ❤️
