Homecoming Court Fundraiser :)
Donation protected
Hey! We are Jace Wren and Taylor Germann. We are both seniors on Homecoming court this year. It would be greatly appreciated if you could help us raise money for a local family in need. All partners on court are participating in a friendly competition to raise money for a great cause. Thank y’all for your support!
Layne Johnson is a sophomore at Southern Boone High School. In May he injured his back in a competitive dance performance. When the pain didn’t go away, he was referred to an orthopedic doctor who discovered a severe curve in his lumbar spine. Upon further examination, doctors discovered this drastic curvature was caused by a massive tumor in his abdomen.
After a difficult surgery to remove the tumor, it was determined to be benign. Everyone was hopeful Layne’s ordeal was over and he briefly returned to school and rejoined his soccer teammates. Unfortunately, Layne developed sudden and severe stomach pain and is currently in the hospital undergoing treatment for more complications. Due to his pain and inability to keep down food, liquid, and medicine, he has to be hooked up to IVs for hydration, nutrition, and pain management. He continues to undergo testing and treatment trying to find a medical solution for his pain. In this trying time, his family has tried to stay by Layne’s side as much as possible, but the financial burden of medical bills and time away from work has added more stress for the Johnson family.
Your donations will go to Layne and his family to help support them in their time of need.
