Pakistan Floods Relief Efforts 2022

Seventy-two percent of the districts in Pakistan have been badly disturbed by the Super Floods of 2022; with 2.88 times more rains than the 30-year average; over 30 million persons affected; 1,000,000+ homes destroyed; 2 million acres of crops impacted; 700,000+ livestock perished; and much more.

Alliance for Disaster Relief (AFDR), a registered 501 (c) (3) NGO in the US has established a collaboration of 25+ community organizations** of Houston, Texas to work together on recuperation efforts for people affected by these floods throughout Pakistan.

Past experience of AFDR suggests that there are many Blessings in Unity, and that is the basic motto of this partnership.

On behalf of this collaborative, initially, the projects will be implemented by 4-Star Charity NGO Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD), which is registered 501 (c) (3) as well as registered in Pakistan under the Ministry of Interior.

HHRD has been working in Pakistan since the earthquake of 2005, and supports more than 10,000 orphans in around 50 Union Councils of Pakistan; and extensive Healthcare, Water, Skills Development, Education Support, & many more projects.

HHRD started working on the present flood relief efforts on July 12th and by August 29, 2022, HHRD has served 72,000+ in all 4 provinces of Pakistan and has intervened through Ready to Eat Meals with Clean Water, Dry Food Distributions, Hygiene Items, and Medical Camps.

On behalf of this collaborative, HHRD will initially implement food support and medical projects.
