Raising funds for Tanzania

Hello everyone! As most of you know, I am back in Africa, specifically in Arusha, Tanzania. I first visited this beautiful country in September and instantly fell in love with it. After returning to Canada, I felt a strong pull to come back, knowing my journey here wasn’t finished. During my last month here, I had an incredible experience, which included volunteering at the Victorious Childcare Centre, participating in women’s empowerment events, going on a safari, hiking Kilimanjaro, sponsoring families, etc…

I’m really excited to be here again, especially at such a magical time! I’ve started this GoFundMe campaign to help make a bigger impact. The funds will go towards providing Christmas gifts for the students, which will include practical items for their education as well as some fun surprises to celebrate the holiday season. I also plan to cook meals and provide gifts for the children at Venerate Orphanage (spending many days with them but also specifically spending Christmas there), and restock food and cooking gas and other supplies needed for Victorious Daycare. Through the program I am volunteering with we do women’s outreach. This involves going to a market and purchasing essential items that will support a family for an entire month. The cost of this is 80,000 Tanzanian shillings which works out to be roughly $40 Canadian. After gathering the items, we visit the families to deliver them and chat. Just one basket can make a significant difference in their lives.

This country is stunning, and the people are incredibly kind. The children are so happy and full of energy, and I’m eager to help lighten their load and bring some extra joy to their days. Tanzania has made a huge impact on me and I just want to continue to do good here. I really appreciate your support and I'm so excited to continue sharing my journey with you!
