Help Gwen Get Her Surgery

We live in Ohio. It is 2025 and the future is gut-churningly uncertain. Medicaid and its ability to pay for surgical expenses are even shakier. And we know the window for surgeons being able to provide care, even to adults, is potentially closing. We want Gwen to get her surgery before that chance may disappear.

Gwen is the last person to show the vulnerability she faces, but it is something she has to live every day. I have so much pride in her ability to chase her joy, build community for others and protect and provide safe spaces for them. I want her to feel supported as well and we all know she would never ask. It is imperative that we raise enough to pay her out of pocket cost before her pre-op appointment, but I have set our goal to cover what I fear Medicaid won't.
