Thanks to everyone's help we were able to have enough for her service. Now we are faced with having to come up with $3,000 to bury her because our application was denied for her burial by the VA.. Any help even a share is greatly appreciated. Thank you everyone again
On June 15, Father's Day, our grandmother passed away in her sleep after being sent home on hospice just the day before. She was a native of Tehachapi for her whole 75 years of life. Her husband, Clyde Wheat, was a veteran and passed away in 1992.
Ever since becoming our grandma in 1997, she has dedicated her life to helping my mother and my aunt raise us 5 kids. She also leaves behind 3 great-grandkids and one on the way. As long as I can remember, my grandma has always been the heart of our family. She made everyone around her feel so loved and cared for. She made us into the people we are today.
This has been very devastating for us all as it happened so fast. Unfortunately, we aren't prepared financially. We are hoping to be able to bury her near her mom, dad, and husband as she wanted. Any contributions, big or small, will help us lay her to rest.
