This Boxing Day, my 6-year-old daughter Ada and I are taking the plunge—literally!

We’re braving the icy North Sea at the Redcar Boxing Day Dip to raise money for 4Louis, a remarkable charity that supports families through miscarriage, stillbirth and child loss.

4Louis provides memory boxes, bereavement support, and essential resources to hospitals and families during their darkest moments. Every pound raised helps them continue offering comfort, dignity, and care when it’s needed most.

Ada is determined, I’m slightly terrified, and the sea will definitely be freezing—but we’re doing it together for a cause that truly matters.
