African Adventures- Kenya volunteering 2025

Hi my names Lewis and I’m 14 years old. In 2025 I will be volunteering for 10 days with my school (Allestree Woodlands) in Kenya to support local schools build facilities/ classrooms, teach the children English and coach the young Children different sports.

African Adventures- We work in Nakuru, Kenya’s fourth largest city, where small-scale agriculture, manufacturing and tourism are the main industries. In the communities where we focus our work, the cost of an education is out of reach for many, so we work with schools that have been set up by local people to give children the chance of a better future. Volunteer in Kenya and help make a real difference.

I have created a go fund me page to help support the travel cost. As part of my journey I will be thinking of different fundraising events so I can try and make as much money to help support these children/ Families.

The reason I want to do this is to help other people who are less fortunate than me. Understand different cultures but most importantly help me grow to gain confidence for future experiences and other fundraising opportunities.

UPDATE: On Thursday 21st December I will be volunteering at food for thought. Packing food packages for families who have very little over Christmas. Along with my mum we will be delivering these parcels to families

13th April 2024 - I will be running 10k on an inflatable course at Castle Donnington. (My mum and Little brother will also be joining me, but only doing 5k)
