My dad. My whole world got ripped away from me today. The only man that has been there with me, through thick and thin. The most selfless person I’ve ever known who always puts others before himself. My dad has no criminal record whatsoever and was detained by ice this morning. He’s been here for 33 years. This country is all he knows. We know times are hard right now but he was the sole provider of our family, whether it be 1 or 100 dollars anything would help pay for his immigration lawyer to help him gain legal status.
