It is with profound sadness that we come together to support Stacey Peacock and her daughter Teagen as they navigate the devastating loss of their beloved daughter and sister, Kayla Peacock.
On the evening of February 23, Kayla and her best friend Danica Hills tragically lost their lives in a vehicle accident while coming home from hockey practice. In a single moment, two bright, beautiful young lives were taken far too soon.
Kayla was just 17 years old and on the brink of graduation from Harry Collinge High School in Hinton. She had her whole future ahead of her — dreams forming, milestones approaching, and a life full of promise.
Kayla was a proud cowgirl and a fierce competitor on the ice. She played hockey with the Jasper Bearcats, where she brought heart, determination, and grit to every game. Whether she was horseback or lacing up her skates, Kayla lived with strength, passion, and an undeniable spirit.
She was the kind of young woman who made people proud — proud to cheer for her, proud to know her, and proud to love her.
Her loss leaves an unimaginable void in Stacey and Teagen’s lives and in the entire community that watched her grow.
During this heartbreaking time, we hope to ease the financial burden that comes with such an unexpected loss. Funds raised will go toward:
- Funeral and memorial expenses
- Time away from work so Stacey can grieve and be present for Teagen
- Household and daily living costs
- Ongoing support for Teagen
- Any unexpected expenses in the months ahead
No family should have to face financial stress while mourning a daughter and sister so deeply loved.
If you are able, any contribution — no matter the size — will help lift some of the weight from Stacey and Teagen’s shoulders. If giving isn’t possible, please consider sharing this page and keeping them in your thoughts and prayers.
Let’s surround them with the same strength, grit, and heart that Kayla showed every day — in the saddle, on the ice, and in life.
Thank you for your compassion, generosity, and love.
