Help a Family Find Safety

We’re asking for help for a family we care about who’s going through something no one should ever have to face.

There was a murder in front of their home, and one of the kids witnessed it. They've been in their home for over eight years, but since then, things haven’t felt safe. Despite asking for help, they haven’t gotten the support they need. The apartment management won’t improve security, and the authorities haven’t stepped up the way they should for an eyewitness. They have been told that moving would be advisable for safety and peace of mind.

They’ve made the tough decision to move somewhere safer, but the costs are adding up fast; breaking their lease, finding a new place, deposits, and everything else that goes into moving expenses. It’s more than a single mother can handle on her own.

We’re hoping to raise enough to help them get out quickly and start fresh in a place where they can feel safe again. For privacy and safety reasons, we can’t share their names, but we can promise this is a real family facing a very real crisis.
