Praying for Jumar’s speedy recovery

Hi everyone! My name is Alexandra Bumanglag and I created this GoFundMe in support of my dad.

On Sunday, April 21, 2024 around 11am, I got a call from my mom telling me to rush downstairs because my dad got into a motorcycle accident along with 2 of his other friends. The car in front of my dads friend suddenly hit their brake while they were merging onto the freeway near the Waikele/Mililani side, and ended up creating a domino effect where my dad’s motorcycle got hit by one of theirs, causing him to flip over. Thank God he had a helmet on and didn’t get hit by incoming traffic.

However, he is severely injured and will have to go through surgery to fix his fracture. He has stitches on his knee, road rash on the other, bruises near his rib area, and currently has a sling on for his rolled shoulder and broken clavicle. He’s scheduled to get surgery done on Thursday, May 2, 2024. But because of his injuries, he can only stay home and he’s unable to work for a period of time as his job requires a lot of sterile work, staying up on his feet, and heavy lifting.

Thus, my mom and I are the only source of income for the mean time while my dad heals. My parents do a lot to provide for my brother and I, and I only work part-time as I am a full-time college student with tuition to pay for. But this unexpected turn of events has put an obstacle in front of us financially. This was a little lengthy, but I just wanted to do something that would put my family at ease with the medical expenses and everything that’s going on right now. Anything would be of help—even keeping my family in your prayers will be appreciated!
