Ricky's Retreat Eagle Project

Jordan Montgomery met with Audrey Chavez at Ricky’s Retreat last year for an exploratory meeting to assess the possibility of an Eagle Scout Project there and establish what their needs are.  Ricky’s Retreat is a 100+ year old 4 bedroom home.  As is typical of buildings that old, there is very little storage.  Audrey indicated that not only do they serve those living at the home, but a community of over 40 people suffering from AIDS in the local community.  They provide a food bank, hygiene goods and nutritional services.

The property also includes a car port that has some fire damage, primarily to the roof.  My Eagle Project will re-roof the carport and also enclose the sides to make a storage room.  This would alleviate one of their biggest needs: to be able to store hygiene goods and other supplies in a secure place.
