My incredible 5-year-old nephew Finley is one of the strongest little warriors we know. . He lives with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis and a rare genetic condition called 18p Deletion Syndrome—which means a small piece of chromosome 18 is missing. This affects his growth, development, and speech, and is why he is nonverbal and needs extra support to communicate.

To help give him a voice, he needs an iPad and a specialized communication app that will allow him to express himself and connect with the world. These tools are truly life-changing, but they come with a high cost.

As a family, we’re starting some fundraising to help make this possible. Alongside any money we raise for his needs we will be donating any additional funds raised to the speech and language unit he attends. We’ll be hosting a pub quiz and we’re also welcoming any donations from anyone who would like to support him. Every bit of help—whether it’s donating, sharing, or simply spreading the word—means more than you know.
