Dear Friends and Family,
Through Andrew's mom, we have recently been introduced to an orphanage in Ghana that is in dire need of basic necessities like food and clothing. The orphanage is called “Save them Young" and it is located in Tema (where Andrew grew up). The orphanage operates solely on donations and support from local churches.
Andrew spent Christmas day (2014) at the orphanage and he observed some of the challenges that the children (often abandoned) endure. More importantly the situation has worsened because of recent floods in Ghana.
There are 75 children (40 babies) and 10 caregivers at the orphanage. Our goal is to raise $2000 to support these kids.
We are “new” to asking for help. Furthermore, we would like to gauge how efficient the orphanage leverages the funds that we raise. So this is a one-time donation to support these kids. All donations will be used to purchase food and clothing for these children.
Andrew's mom works closely with orphanage and she will take all donations received back to the orphanage on our behalf. She will also be a good point of contact to ensure funds are used specifically for food and clothing. Finally, Andrew's mum is not aware that we are mobilizing funds for the orphanage so she will be pleasantly surprised to be able to deliver such great news and support to the orphanage when she returns to Ghana in September.
We will provide updates to all donors on the impact our support to the orphanage.
Our support will mean the world to these children. It is a beautiful thing to work together and so we will treasure every support you can provide to this project.
Thank you for your support!
Blessings to you all!
