Help a Family Rebuild After Hurricane Helene and Milton
Donation protected
Hello world,
First let me start by saying GOD IS GREAT! And I thank God for sparing me and my family. We experienced multiple near death instances in one storm. My name is Sean Spencer. Me and my wife Scarlett, and our two children Legend and Legacy are victims of hurricane Helene. Me and my family reside in Bradenton Florida, and our home is a few streets from Manatee River. The home was in the family for over 10+ years.
The catastrophe that my family now knows as hurricane Helene, Will be well felt into the months to come. My children will never forget that trauma. And after it was all said and done, we were left with nothing. Our home took significant damage due to a 7-8 ft surge. Our home was 4ft above river level and had about 3-4 ft of water inside. All our furniture, bedroom set, books, pictures, clothes and shoes,....gone... a damaged roof causing condensation in our ac system with will eventually lead to more problems.
Our vehicles were also totalled. Thank you to our family members who let us borrow a vehicle as family that allowed us to stay with them temporarily. But the key word is temporarily! Also... I would like to thank everyone for taking time to help my family cope with this terrible situation. I truly believe that this was a sign from God...to wash away the problems and pain and start new... I just wish that it didn't come at the expense of my family's home and belongings. But who are we to question greatness?.....who are we to question God's Plan? So now I must put the task on my shoulders and let him lead the way. Me and my wife do our best to shelter our children from the negatives in the world. Our kids love the world and everything in it. My love for skating has also become my kids passion. We would travel all over meeting all different types of people and learning about different places. They don't understand loss because we wouldn't allow it..but this time .....all proceeds to this page will go towards removing debris and mold as well as replacing walls and floors and repairs to the roof....hopefully bringing some normalcy back to my children.
I don't really know what else to say but thank for at least stopping to read our testimony.
God is with us as much as he is with you!

10/2 update
FEMA has denied us and multiple families in my neighborhood due to not having flood insurance. We are forced to do all repairs out of pocket. The task just became even harder than it already was....

10/11 update
After having to deal with hurricane Helene we were just devastated even harder by hurricane milton. We were safe this time but our home has taken even more damage due to high winds and heavy rain . It destroyed our tool shed with falling trees and flying debris. Updating photos soon. Pray for us.

10/16 update
Thanks to hurricane milton we now have no power, which has made the mold grow faster due to humidity. We're trying to do the tasks ourselves but due to this setback we are required to bring in professionals. We are beginning to drown in this terrible situation
