What you’re seeing right now is my grandmother, Kena—my mom’s mom, and someone our family loves deeply.

For the past month, she has been battling a pulmonary embolism, a life-threatening condition that affects the lungs and makes breathing extremely difficult. Although she fought through it for weeks, her condition worsened this past week, and she was admitted to the hospital in Mexico, where she has now been for over a week and remains in critical condition.

At this time, Kena needs constant medical care, including essential medications, ongoing tests and specialist consultations, and an oxygen tank to help her breathe. While we have been able to raise some money to help with her medications, the medical expenses continue to grow, and our family is struggling to cover everything she urgently needs.
