Ritter House Fire

On the evening of 12/06 my brother, sister in law, their 3 children, and two animals endured what we could only imagine to be one of our worst nightmares.

They had a severe fire at their home in Mokena. This fire, unfortunately completely destroyed their home and everything in it. What was not burned, was destroyed by water damage from the fire trucks putting the fire out.

Thankfully they were all able to escape safely with just the clothes on their backs.

They have 3 young children, all under the age of 10! All their toys, clothes, shoes, upcoming Christmas presents, electronics and much much more were all unrecoverable.

My brother and his family are now going to be spending the holiday season trying to start their lives over, while still trying to make this Christmas special for their kids in the midst of a tragedy.

I beg all of our family and friends to come together as a community to show our love and support during this difficult time for them.

While we are still in the process of gathering exact needs for them, we are starting this GoFundMe campaign to help them in the immediate interim with basics like food, clothes, and even possibly replacement Christmas Presents. If you can find it in your hearts to help and contribute, I know that they will be appreciative and incredibly thankful.

The GoFundMe account proceeds will be given directly to my brother and sister in law. I ask that you don’t publish their exact names, as this is a public fundraiser.
