BUTTERFLY: Asian and Migrant Sex Workers Support Network
Donation protected
On January 20th, Neon Dreams and Don't Be So Political are hosting a screening of Paul Schrader's AMERICAN GIGOLO at the Revue Cinema. You can get your tickets here.
This screening will be accompanied by a post-screening conversation with writer, performer, and sex worker advocate Andrea Werhun, and we'll be raising funds for Butterfly, the Asian and Migrant Sex Workers Support Network. With the support of Andrea and Another Story Bookshop we are aiming to raise awareness and collect donations for Butterfly to help them continue to provide safety, support, education, and information to all sex workers, regardless of their gender, race or immigration status.
Butterfly was formed by sex workers, social workers, legal and health professionals. It provides support to, and advocates for, the rights of Asian and migrant sex workers. The organization is founded upon the belief that sex workers are entitled to respect and basic human rights. Butterfly asserts that, regardless of their immigration status, Asian and migrant sex workers should be treated like all other workers.
Please donate to the best of your abilities, and share this event with as many people as possible.
