Baby Andrews Army

Hi my name is Luke Kingswood and I’m climbing mount Snowden with Andrew’s dad and few friends Daniel Sturch, Jordan Meadows, Jordan Bodell, Corrie Allen, Jordan Pyke in the hope to raise awareness and funding for baby Andrew.

In June 2022 Andrew who at the time aged 3 years old was diagnosed with Batten disease, this is also known as a child form dementia.

There is no cure for this disease and very little is known about these disease as there is only a few children in the uk with it.

Andrew has been given a life expectancy age of 10 we are hoping with the help of modern medicine this will be longer and hopefully a cure will be found.

At present Andrew is receiving treatment at Royal Manchester childrens hospital and his parents have to make this journey every two weeks from Sheffield for the rest of his life.

Andrew is receiving this treatment with the hope this will slow the process of the disease. This disease is know to cause blindness, severe issues with walking and talking and as it progresses causes severe issues with eating and drinking .

This disease is cruel but we aim to give Andrew a meaningful life to the best we can do and would be grateful if any donations received.
