My name is Mai, and I’m a mother from Gaza. I have two young daughters—Khawla, 5 years old, and Layal, 3 years old. Before the war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, we had a beautiful life—our home, car, jobs, school, and everything we needed. But everything changed overnight. We lost our home, our livelihood, and the security we once had.

Today, we find ourselves with nothing. My daughters lack basic necessities like food, clothing, toys, and an education. The impact of the war has been both psychological and material, and we are struggling to rebuild our lives.
