Hi, My name is Ronnie Coon, our father Ron Coon Sr., was diagnosed with prostate cancer in September 2021. Through the continued support of his wife Ann and his sons and countless friends, he continues to find the strength to battle this disease and remain strong for those who love him. With that strength comes a price: Ron has not been able to work due to daily visits to the Sanborn Cancer Center for radiation treatments, and daily life has caught up to him. Facing over $2,000 a month in medical bills, he struggles to provide for his family even on the most basic level. He hasn't asked those around him for help of any kind, but I see the strain this is putting on his loved ones. The cancer is bad enough, but to see a man who has always provided for his family without ever asking anything in return become unable to support himself or those who rely on him is heartbreaking. Despite his support system, the bills have grown to overwhelming proportions, and the family is striving to make ends meet. Setting up this page has been difficult but necessary at this point. Ron is able to keep his job through the Family & Medical Leave Act, but being unable to work means there is little to no income coming in to cover the mounting debt. Ron has spent his life taking care of others, and it is the least that my brother, mother and I can do is to reach out and ask for help for this kind and generous man. We are not asking for a lot, just a small amount to help him as he moves into remission and begins life again as a stronger, healthier version of himself.
Thank you!
Ronnie & John Coon
