Hi, as many of you who know me know, I love my community and love getting stuck in. Today, my attention was drawn by a conversation about the young people in our community who’s family’s are struggling with the economic climate - Father Christmas gives presents to good children but what about the children who’s parents are facing hard times because the bills don’t stop for Christmas and some children won’t get pressies as the heating/eating/rent has to take priority!

If you have a pound to buy somebody else’s child a small selection box or a bit more for a larger pressie, every penny will go to children in our community. The dream would be to be able to do a stocking of quality pressies for each child - yes, we ll be going to Home Bargains and B&M, but for some nice stuff - £10 to £20 a stocking would be amazing.

Mr Chapman will be dusting off his Santa suit and Chris from Banterland will be asking all his friends and contacts to help with wrapping and sorting age categories and piles for boys and girls. Literally every penny can make a difference and this is for the children in Cam, Dursley and the immediate surrounding areas. We want all of our children to have a stocking this Christmas and you can help. Let’s show the community what we can do together. Thank you as always for your support. Jo, Chris and Ian xx
