Frank's Eagle Scout Project

Donation protected
Dear friends and supporters,

My name is Frank and I am excited to share: I am making a push to earn the Eagle Scout rank. I have been a scout almost all of my life and I've always had the goal of attaining this final rank in scouting. In the process of achieving the Eagle Scout rank, a candidate must conduct their Eagle Scout project. It is important that the project benefits a cause that is meaningful to the scout. This is why I chose to conduct my project through my pole vault club located in Boulder, Colorado. The project was conducted on Saturday, July 8th. Our goal was to improve an area where the club practices outdoors that we call The Church Yard as it is located in a field behind the Boulder Valley Community Church. The Church Yard is a very special place with a spectacular view of the Flat Irons and the Front Range. It is used by members of the church, the pole vault club, and other running clubs in the area.

The Church Yard has a small path that runs to the end of the field that people use to run and walk on. The project helped to improve this area in two main ways. First, we worked to level off a section of the road that was full of ruts which could be a hazard to runners and hikers. We dug down a high point in the path, filling in the ruts, adding gravel, and installing beams along the side of the path to prevent gravel from spilling into the drainage below. Second, we assembled and installed two benches along the walkway to offer a resting spot with a breathtaking view of the front range mountains. We also had extra volunteers so we helped to re-stain a fence on the property that was a previous Eagle Scout project.

Your contributions will help to fund these two efforts: providing materials (lumber and hardware) for improving the trail’s durability and will help fund the purchase of the two benches we installed. Supporting this project not only benefits the pole vault club but also the church and the wider community. Your donation will improve accessibility, safety, and community usage.

Thank you so much for considering supporting this cause that means so much to me. Your donation no matter the amount, is greatly appreciated. You can help me to make a meaningful difference in the community.

Thank you for your support,
