Last year I became scuba dive certified, and in that process I fell in love with the beauty of our ocean's underwater world. I knew immediately from that point, I wanted to learn about Coral Reef Conservation and how to preserve the ocean's beauty. I plan to  pursue this subject for my senior project. Not only do I want to learn about what is destroying our reefs, but also about what is being done to preserve and regrow them. I have been accepted to join an international volunteer organization called POD Volunteer to participate in a coral restoration program in Belize this November. I  know that in joining this program, I will not only get an amazing experience, but I will gain the knowledge I need to do my senior project and to be able to tell as many people as I can about the state of our reefs. I greatly look forward to sharing my experience with as many people as I can and I hope it inspires a new generation into ocean conservation. Unfortunately the cost of a trip like this is more then I am able to manage, so I would be incredibly grateful and appreciative for any support given. Every dollar counts.
