On January 15, 2020 our family lost a husband, father, and our protector unexpectedly after being struck by a train. Michael L. Davis Sr. was a husband of 11 years of (Me) Shaquana Davis and a father of 5 to Mikeya Davis, Myaira Davis, Michael Davis Jr., Makai Davis, and Mila Davis. He worked for Fox Elementary as a janitor but also wanted to be a father figure for all children who did not have a father in their life. His love was so unconditional and fulfilling. He spirit was calm and pleasing.
On this day he began his regular routine waking up and getting to work by 6:30am and would usually work until 6:30 pm Monday thru Friday to financially take care of his family. But that morning he took a detour to meet me at the store to get the bank card so I could get gas at 8:00am. He called me at 8:05am and let me know he was by the store. I called back at 8:08am while waiting across the street from the store and called repeatedly after that for him to pick up. While waiting I notice the train just sitting there instead of waiting I went ahead and went to work. At noon while at work the coroner approached me and notified me that my husband was fatally struck by a train directly across from our house. This is a devastating tragedy for me and his children. Even though his soul is at peace and his family will mourn him forever. Rest In Peace to a loving husband and father.
