Support After the Eaton Fire

Donation protected
My name is Luana and this fund is for my mother, Lucita Sanchez-Hakes, and my aunt Leticia Corral. Both just lost their homes in the Eaton Fire.

Mom and Mama Letty are sisters both born and raised in the Philippines. They immigrated to America as career nurses and settled in Altadena between the 60s and 80s respectively.

Since then, they’ve raised 5 kids between their two homes, as well as, opened their doors to countless extended family members and have hosted all the big holiday meals. I grew up on Loma Alta Drive and Wapello Street in both these houses. I learned how to ride a bike at Farnsworth Park. The devastation that has ripped through our family, friends, and community is unimaginable.

We are humbly requesting support for our families and neighbors through these challenging and uncertain times. These funds will assist with needs that might not be fully covered by other sources of aid.

If you are not able to support monetarily at this time and would still like to help, we request that you volunteer time and energy or any extra food to your local Mutual Aid groups and Animal Shelters. Thank you and stay safe ❤️
