Terry Webb is a 53 year old truck driving family man with 3 teenage children who lives Carson VA. In March of 2016 Terry was diagnosed with an Intersistial Lung Disease called Pulmonary Fibrosis. The only cure for this horrible disease is a Double Lung Transplant which costs an estimated 1.5 million dollars. His best chance of receiving the lifesaving transplant he needs is to receive his care at Duke University Hospital. He is currently in their transplant program. We had hoped his condition would stabilize and transplant could wait awhile but earlier this month we had a big decline in lung function. It looks like transplant is in our near future. The transplant process is a huge undertaking, we will need to relocate to Durham NC to enroll in their pre transplant rehab program, wait for a matching donor, then enter the post transplant phase, which will involve rehab and a laundry list of meds. I, his wife Lisa, will have to accompany him on his journey as his caretaker, it is mandatory that I go and remain by his side the entire time. So I will be unable to work.
We need to gather funds to relocate, pay medical bills not covered by insurance, pay health insurance premiums, to live and still sustain a somewhat normal life for our children. This transplant is the only treatment for his disease. There are no other treatments that will ease, improve or cure his lung fibrosis.
If you could find it in your heart to help us, this is the only way to save his life. Any donations will take us one step closer to beginning our journey.
With love and thanks
Lisa Webb
