While I have seen many wars and conflicts throughout my life in Gaza, since October 7 my life has felt very uncertain. I still have many dreams for my future, including my family. My wife, Um Dhia, cooks, hikes and enjoys the once abundant natural beauty of the Gaza landscape. My father, Salman, is deceased and my mother is old and sick. I have five children: my daughter, Hala, Mimi, Diya, Rayan, and Massa.That is why I came to you so that we can continue to live our lives as a loving family, in peace, security and freedom. Unfortunately, this is simply not possible in Gaza now and will not be so in the foreseeable future. We seek to continue living together in peace as a family, and to achieve this goal we must raise funds to allow our evacuation as a family across the Rafah border with Egypt. We've lost almost everything, but miraculously, we still have each other.
