My name is Cody De La Cruz, and I'm a Life Scout in Troop 284. I'm on my way to Eagle Scout, and my project will be a garden for Lafayette Nursery School! It will be a native garden with interpretative material that teaches children the importance of native plants in our ecosystem, while also incorporating a misting system operated by the children. Additionally, the garden will act as a small habitat for the class box turtle (Speedy), and will provide a pond and space for him to run around!
