Recovery For Burn Victim Children and Family

It is with a heavy heart that I reach out to you today, seeking your support in the face of an unimaginable tragedy that has befallen our family. Early this morning, my son-in-law received the devastating news that his sister, a loving mother to three beautiful children, was brutally murdered. The assailant not only stabbed her but callously set fire to their apartment, leaving the children trapped inside.

As we grapple with this heart-wrenching situation, the reality is that we need both your prayers and financial assistance to navigate the challenges ahead. The baby lost his life in the fire, and the two older children, aged 4 and 5, are currently in critical condition at Shands in Gainesville, requiring immediate and extensive medical care.

In the midst of this tragedy, our family finds itself scattered across Gainesville, Daytona Beach, Orlando, and Tampa, but we are resolute in our commitment to come together for the sake of these children. The logistics are complex, the emotional toll immense, and the future uncertain. We anticipate the need for financial support as medical expenses mount, and the daunting prospect of a funeral for the mother and infant looms over us, even as the crime scene remains active.

As we await further updates, I want to establish a foundation of support for my daughter, her husband, and the surviving children. Your prayers and contributions will make a tangible difference during this dark and trying time.
