In the most trying of times, Rockaway has always shown its resiliency and its generosity.
Amid this COVID-19 pandemic, the challenges facing all of us are considerable, but for none more so than our first responders, healthcare heroes and the other frontline workers.
To that end, please join The Wave and our partners at the RBA , REMA, QCC , & QEDC in helping feed these courageous people, who are literally risking their lives to save ours.
Your donation of $20 or more will help to feed healthcare heroes on the front line; doctors, nurses, doctors, support staff, and members of the cleaning crew at our only hospital on the peninsula, St. John’s Episcopal Hospital They are the ones helping to keep COVID-19 at bay.
It will also help feed our FDNY, NYPD, EMS, EMTs, DSNY, postal workers and other essential workers who keep our city safe, clean, and up-and-running while we navigate this challenging time.
This program will also help support a dozen Rockaway restaurants, including Cuisine by Claudette, Kimo's Kitchen, Russo’s On The Bay, and other restaurants who remain open, servicing our community despite the crippling losses of revenue.
