Xavier needs a wheelchair car!!

As most of our friends and family know, Xavier has just received his first wheelchair! We are currently in the process of sourcing a modified vehicle so that we can transport Xavier in his wheelchair. At the moment we are unable to even put the wheelchair in our boot to take and use in public.

NDIS will contribute to a vehicle being converted to be wheelchair accessible, however, this will not even cover half the costs. We have been quoted a second-hand vehicle including conversion to be around $65,000. The car will include an automatic ramp and docking system so that we can push the chair in the car and it will just click into place.

We are hoping to have this vehicle before Christmas, Xavier is extremely heavy to put in his car seat and take out and put in his stroller. This vehicle will save both mine and Michael's backs! Having this car will be life changing for our family, we would be grateful for any donation to our campaign.
