Xavier Marcus Conner

Noël woke Chance up this morning at 7am, September 10, 2020,  with complaints of severe back pain and stomach cramping, so off to the doctors they went. After about 30 minutes of waiting in Urgent Care they decided to leave and headed to the ER. She knew something was seriously wrong.

Upon arrival to St. Lukes Hospital - Barry Rd. they admitted her quickly and sent Chance to the Parking Lot to wait. Neither of them with an inkling of what was to unfold.

Having to advocate for herself by refusing the pain medications they were offering her and demanding more tests, an Ultrasound revealed Noel to be 24 weeks pregnant and in active Labor, the baby already in the birth canal. Chance was immediately permitted to the delivery room and by 12:29 pm they unexpectedly welcomed Xavier Marcus Conner to the world, just 24 weeks gestation at 1lb 15 oz. 

After stabilizing him for the NICU team he was taken to St. Lukes Kansas City Plaza where they found a hole in his lungs. He is currently being treated for an infection and is in the care of a dedicated team of specialists.

Noel is doing well post operative, and Chance is doing his best to wrap his mind around all this, but as you can expect, the new parents who weren't even "expecting" are in an unimaginable state of whirlwind. Neither of them are allowed to leave the hospital to be with Xavier until Noel is cleared for discharge.

Xavier has an extensive stay ahead of him in the NICU, including several potential surgeries. Noel and Chance need our help to ease the unimaginable financial burden they now face. Already losing money by the minute unable to work, the new family needs our help! Please donate anything you can. Little Xavier needs his parents to be with him so he can fight and if we can raise at least a month worth of bills, they can take these few precious moments together to give him the best fighting chance he has.
