A true friend in need

I’m reaching out today because one of my oldest and closest friends has fallen on overwhelmingly hard times and I don’t have the resources alone to help.
Jon and I meet in 2004 and immediately we connected on every level. We were both driven to be the best we could be. We both had strong ties to our family and our number one goal was to be the best provider possible. We both saw the importance of hard work, complete dedication, and being the best father and husband you could be.
Jon had worked very hard to build his towing business and was looking towards the future with the faith that his hard work and long hours would pay off.
By 2009 it looked as though all the stress, long hours and sacrifices were finally starting to pay off… his business was starting to take off and for a little while it was as if it was going to be one of those traditional American stories of success. However nothing could have prepared Jon for what was about to come. Jon develop a medical condition that would require brain surgery. There was no guarantee it would be successful and the recovery and rehabilitation would be long. Jon tried to find alternatives but in the end, went through with the procedure and it was successful, however, the recovery would be extensive and his business suffered dramatically. Although he ultimately made it through with his health, he ultimately lost everything. His business suffered with out his presence and suddenly years of hard work and sacrifice were gone.
Jon was determined to get back what he had worked so hard to build. After he got through his rehabilitation from the brain surgery he was able to find work that allowed him to use some of his experience and expertise. He doubled his efforts and after 10 years of saving, he finally was ready to start on his own again, and in 2020 he started Kasias Revovery. It was starting from scratch all over again but I watched and knew that Jon would succeed. His dedication, work ethic, drive, and desire to succeed would pay off in the end.
I watched for three years as Jon took every job he could, worked 10-15 hour days, worked 7 days a week, all so that he could get this business to succeed and once again be the providing force for his family. It was a tough rode. I often would say a prayer for Jon that this time would be the one, that this time he would be able to make it. We would speak almost every day and no matter how much stress or the number of obstacles in his way he was determined to make it work and build something that would provide stability for his family.
This year has been tuff. Business has slowed, companies are demanding low fees for hauling cars, and Jon has been plagued with service issues on his truck placing a huge financial strain on their family, but even with this Jon has been determined to overcome…
2 weeks ago Jon was once again hit with tragedy… Jon’s dogs, which he loves with all his heart, got into an altercation over a dog toy. Not wanting them to get injured he tried to separate them and in the process was severally bitten. Typical Jon.. he just kept working as if nothing had happened. He was thinking it was not too bad and eventually, it would heal. He was wrong. Ultimately Jon was admitted to the hospital for three days and will be unable to work for the next 8 weeks while he goes through treatment for a severe infection. This is the worst nightmare for every independent business owner.
Jon is on the verge of once again having his business and ability to provide for his family taken away. I, unfortunately, do not have the resources to help in Jon’s situation alone…
I know that in this day in age we are all feeling the crunch. Interest rates are high, groceries are the most expensive they have ever been, gas is stupidly expensive and it has placed a huge burden on us all. I know what I’m asking is not easy but there are times in all our lives when we truly need a hand to grab onto. Jon has helped so many, has always been the guy you can count on for anything at anytime, and I’m hoping this will show Jon it was not all in vein.
Any help you can provide would be truly appreciated and I know would provide a huge relief to Jon. Please join me in helping a great guy overcome a life devastating situation.
