Battle with Cancer
Donation protected
UPDATE 4/13/2023-Michelle has completed her radiation treatments and started chemotherapy. This is when the battle for her life is going to become more challenging. The effects of the chemo drugs can cause some patients to simply quit as it can become unbearable. Please keep her and her family in your prayers.
CANCER-the scariest word ever created. I think a huge majority of people who will read this have been affected by cancer or know someone who has battled this horrific disease. It is because of this one word that we are asking for your help for a friend, a dog rescue partner, a mother, a daughter, a partner. Michelle Flemmer a friend and a longtime advocate of rescuing dogs is going through what most of us fear the most, Cancer. Michelle has been battling this demon for some time now and is now in stage 4 cancer. She is about to embark on the biggest battle of her life with everything that is available to try to fight off this horrific disease. Her recovery does not look promising, but we are all praying in our own way for a miracle. Michelle and her partner live on a small monthly income while raising her young child, Damien. During treatment Michelle will likely become even sicker than she is now, and we are hoping with the help of our friends and community, we can ease some of the stress of life’s essential needs, such as food, clothing, and cleaning supplies. We would like to buy her a small freezer that we can pack with food storage. We would like to provide Damien with clothes and some small learning toys. We would like to help them cover utility costs and ease the burden of paying some bills. We also want to help Michelle keep her environment clean with basic cleaning supplies while she undergoes extensive chemo treatment which will put her immune system in jeopardy and at risk of infections. We can’t take away her cancer, but we can take away any worry about providing for her basic life needs. We are so grateful to all of you for taking the time to read this story. Our goal right now is to raise $2000. We are so thankful to all of you for any contribution you can make toward reaching our goal.
