Ciara McCabe and Kate Tierney and I are going to Malawi on the 5th of June for three weeks.
There, we will be staying with the Ungweru Organisation, a non-governmental organisation, chaired by Father John A. Ryan. While over there we will be working alongside the local school and orphanage to help educate and support them.
Because we are not going over with an organisation we are paying for all flights and vaccinations 100% ourselves and we are fundraising purely to buy items such as school supplies which are needed by the children in Malawi. In addition to that Ungweru offers financial support to the local community by funding development and providing education.
After purchasing any necessary supplies the remaining of the funds will be donated to the organisation to be spent in the community where necessary.
We have set ourselves a personal target of €2,000 and any donations big or small will be greatly appreciated.
