Exhibition Peru

Hi, my name is Elliot Thompson. I am a year 9 student and I have been given the opportunity to embark on a once-in-a-lifetime journey to Peru with Camps International. During the summer of 2025, I will be spending 4 weeks getting involved in projects that are designed to provide sustainable long-term support to the communities in some of the most rural areas. I would be staying in camps in small communities learning about their local life, culture, and traditions. I am looking forward to getting my hands dirty with project work like improving infrastructure and learning environments for children. I would achieve new skills like plastering, bricklaying, and many more practical things that would help me achieve new goals and step out of my comfort zone. This will also help the communities live a better life. I really enjoy helping other people and therefore for me, this trip will allow me to grow as a person. Part of this trip includes a 5-day hike to historic Machu Pichu. This is on many people's bucket lists so as a 15 year old this would be an amazing place to visit. In order for me to be able to go on this trip, I need to raise £4,500 (WOW I hear you say!) This GoFundMe page is just the start of my journey to help me raise this money.
