On the afternoon of May 30th, 2024 Mike Lavender was suddenly and unexpectedly called to his heavenly home. Mike leaves behind his wife Krystal and their two kids Maliya and Khail. He also leaves his kids Trey, Maliq, Meya, and Amani. Unfortunately, because of a pre-existing kidney condition Mike was unable to get insured. The family is raising money to be able to transport Mike from Florida to North Carolina to be laid to rest. The funds raised will also go towards funeral arrangements and housing expenses as the family heals and adjusts over the next few weeks. 

Mike was in the National Guard and the Army Reserves. Mike was also a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated and a Mason. Those that knew Mike, knew him to be hard working, great with his hands always willing to lend a helping hand. And he absolutely loved his family.
