¿Quiénes somos?
¡Hola a todos! Somos un grupo de personas de Chile y España(dejamos nuestras cuentas de Instagram abajo) comprometidos en ayudar a nuestro querido amigo Palestino: Ahmed Rajab y su familia de 13 miembros. Apelamos a su solidaridad para ayudarles a reconstruir parcialmente sus vidas y protegerlos del Invierno en Gaza durante el cese temporal al fuego.
¿Quién es Ahmed Rahab?
Mi nombre es Ahmed, soy Palestino, sobreviviente de la Ocupación en mi país y tengo 20 años. Estudiaba Ingeniería en Programación antes del genocidio(todavía sueño con terminar mi carrera!). Amo los deportes, sobre todo el fútbol! Anhelo poder volver a jugar con mis hermanos y los amigos que no me fueron arrebatados. La Ocupación me ha quitado tanto. Perdí a mi abuelo, a mi tío y vi morir a mi mejor amigo. También mi casa, mis cosas, parte de mis recuerdos, que ahora se diluyen en los escombros. Todavía me cuesta soltarlos. Mi corazón duele profundamente cada vez que visito lo que fue mi hogar, pero a la vez me rehúso a perder la esperanza. Nunca hemos estado tan cerca de ser libres. Somos una familia de 13 miembros, compuesta por 4 hermanos, 2 hermanas y sus esposos, mis padres, mi pequeña sobrina y sobrinos, incluido un recién nacido que llamaron en mi honor: Ahmed. Sobrevivimos desplazamiento forzado múltiples veces y la separación por 15 meses de mi hermano; Mohammed. Él se quedó en el Norte protegiendo a mi abuelo a quien la Ocupación asesinó. Mi hermano pasó hambruna y nosotros sufrimos todos los días su separación. Ha sido demoledor digerir ver nuestro esfuerzo de años: nuestra casa, reducida a escombros, ahora totalmente inhabitable. Me he permitido vivir el duelo, mientras intento encontrar fortaleza y la esperanza para no darme por vencido. Ahora los 4 hermanos varones estamos juntos, trabajando arduo(con lo que encontramos en los escombros) para cubrir las paredes abiertas de un departamento que encontramos disponible. El resto de la familia espera en otro lugar, hasta que este espacio que no era originalmente nuestra casa, nos albergue finalmente como familia y podamos procesar todo el dolor que vivimos juntos y construir nuevas memorias llenas de esperanza. He sido forzado a crecer antes de lo que debía. Esto ha tenido un impacto inconmensurable en mí, pero me rehúso a rendirme, estoy comprometido en seguir apoyando a mi familia. Actualmente, dependemos en un 100% de sus donaciones. La comida, acceso a agua, medicina, materiales para reconstruir es escaso y disponible a precios inflados desorbitadamente. Background: As Salaam Alaikum friends, we are Camila Pozo(@cami_risa) from Melbourne, Australia, Nerea Roca(nerea__rc), and Sat Siri(@sat_siriakal) from Barcelona, Spain, as well as Fadia Hammad(fadmade) from Puerto Varas, Chile. We are standing on behalf of our beloved friend Ahmed Rajab and seeking your solidarity for him and his family of 13, who are now trying to rebuild their lives on the rubble after the Ceasefire resolution took effect.

Who am I?
My name is Ahmed. I'm a 20-year-old Palestinian who has survived the Occupation in Gaza. I studied Coding Engineering at the University before the war started(I still want to pursue that dream!). I'm a big fan of sports, especially football! I daydream about playing again with my brothers and the friends I haven't lost. The Occupation had taken so much from me and my family. I lost my grandfather, uncle and best friend, as well as my family home; memories and belongings now are turned into rubble. I still hold on to them. My heart aches whenever I revisit home, but I refuse to lose hope. We have never been that close to being free. We are a family of 13 members, including my little niece and nephews and a newborn named after me: Ahmed. We faced multiple displacements and were apart from my brother Mohammed for 15 months until the ceasefire resolution took effect. He stayed protecting my grandfather in the North until the Occupation killed Grandpa. My brother faced famine, and we suffered every day when he was still alone in the besieged North. Our family home was burned down, and it is now an uninhabitable place. What we built together for years is just ashes and rubble. It has been harrowing and difficult to digest. I have been giving myself the time to grieve while finding the strength and the hope not to give up. Now, the four brothers are all together and trying to patch the open walls of an apartment we found available with anything helpful we see under the rubble. At the same time, Mum, Dad, my two sisters, and nephews wait for it to be ready so we can all finally be together. I have been forced to grow up before I should have, and despite the toll it has taken on me, I am fully committed to continuing to knock on doors to support my family. As of today, we depend 100% on the solidarity of friends who lend us their bank accounts to receive donations. Your support helps us buy food(prices still are inflated), access water and medicine, and rebuild a place that wasn't initially our home. We hope to call it soon and grieve as a family and build new memories after all the turmoil and despair we experienced. Could you help us touch other hearts?
