Hey guys, my name is Tash and I am fundraising for my Sister and Niece, Kylie and Amelia.
Kylie is a happy, independent, and generally a very positive person, always willing to help others whenever and wherever she can.
Kylie has been living in the United States for the past six years but in June this year she moved back to Australia with her daughter Amelia. Kylie is also pregnant with her second child. Due to the impact of COVID and the international transportation costs involved, Kylie only brought with her whatever she could fit into their suitcases. She knew that moving back to Australia was going to be a struggle as she was going to have to start again, but she just wanted and needed to come home.
Since returning home and moving back in with Mum, it hasn’t been smooth sailing for Kylie, she has had a lot to work out, getting Amelia settled, organising Amelia’s Australian citizenship, and a heap of other necessary government documentation. Kylie also discovered that she is having a ‘high risk’ pregnancy, so she is trying to keep her baby as healthy as possible.
Prior to leaving the United States, Kylie was able to sell her car so she could use the money to purchase a good, safe, reliable car once back home, an absolute priority to have for herself and her children.
A few weeks ago, Kylie purchased an SUV, perfect for her and her family, it was a private sale and after picking up the vehicle it was registered into her name. Unfortunately, Kylie didn’t get a chance to get her comprehensive insurance organised. The very next morning she was on her way to an appointment when she was involved in a terrible car accident, leaving Kylie with multiple fractures in her ankle. Thankfully Amelia was not in the car with her, the ankle was the only injury sustained and both Kylie and the baby are okay. The car however was declared a complete ride-off therefore not only does she no longer have a car, but the money to buy another car is gone, it is likely other costs will come up now too.
It has been an extremally stressful time for Kylie, and she is fully aware that many people are going through difficult times at present. Kylie is currently unable to work due to her broken ankle and trying to get employment when 6 months pregnant is extremely difficult. Financial assistance from the Government is not quick. She isn’t just waiting around for help to arrive; she is motivated and very proactive she is currently studying for her Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management) degree.
Kylie is my sister and is everything to me, she is determined to make this right, but Kylie needs some help. I know many people may have opinions and comments about the car situation, but this is one way I could think of to help her and to alleviate one of the many stressors she has on her mind right now. Any money raised will help Kylie to get that car for herself and her children she has so desperately tried to obtain.
Sometimes a little bit of help can go a long way. A huge thank you in advance!
