As many of you know, the recent changes in immigration enforcement have been very scary for a lot of people. Families like the one I’m writing about are living in constant fear. I am terrified for a man I deeply admire—an incredible father and the sole provider for his two young children here in the U.S. These kids are under five and they need their dad. But right now, this family is at risk of being torn apart, and I’m asking for your help to make sure that doesn’t happen.

For privacy and safety reasons, I can’t share their names, but I can tell you this: this man is one of the most hardworking, loving, and selfless people I’ve ever known. He’s doing everything in his power to keep his family safe and stable, but the financial burden of filing for immigration papers has always been out of reach.

He came here for refuge from violence, poverty, and constant trauma and we can't fathom him having to go back to that.

The costs are as follows:

- $3,000 for immigration applications to even begin the process

- Additional funds to cover legal fees

Our goal is $5,000, and every penny will go toward keeping this family together. My family is helping as much as we can, but we can’t do it alone.

I almost never ask for help like this, but this is deeply personal. This is about four lives—two of them just starting out—who could be uprooted without your support.
