Wow, this is really happening!
Max will be travelling to Cambodia on the 29th April 2017 to volunteer with
Cows for Cambodia for 10 days, this charity is where a contract is made with a family to have a pregnant cow on loan with the promise to look after that cow, keeping it in good condition (bringing it back for immunisations, worming etc.) when the calf is born the family keep the calf, the cow is returned to the charity. When the cow is pregnant again it is then loaned to another family. Having a cow is beyond the means of many families and this gives the family a huge boost in their standard of living. The charity also provides assistance in many
other ways like immunisation of the cows, now has goats and ducks, rice drops amongst the villagers, building projects, harvesting /planting King grass, English classes + more.
2016 C 4 C rebuilt the school from a little 3 sided shed to 5 times bigger becoming 2 classrooms fully enclosed with doors and fans.
Max will help build a house for a lady whose “house” is a tarpaulin/tent on an embankment with broken bamboo as bedding. She has
5 small children and her husband is away 6 weeks at a time working for next to nothing.
