Luca our Warrior was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma a fast aggressive cancerous brain tumour in July this year. He endured a 15 hour operation but unfortunately the surgeons were unable to remove all of the tumour with it being in a place they couldn’t reach as this would have caused severe damage to Luca’s brain, after his recovery from surgery to our devastation we found he had developed secondary Cancer due to the cancer spreading to large areas of his spine & brain which puts him at the highest cancer grading. we have now  been told that the secondary cancer has become more aggressive which leaves the tumours hard to cure. and specialists are unsure if Radiotherapy & chemo will work for him. He now has started high grade Radiotherapy of 33 treatments, he has been so ill during the first week of therapy but he’s still putting a smile on his face,  He is due to start 4 blocks of intense Chemotherapy in the new year. With this treatment being more intense then normal we’ve been told that the side effects he will lose his hearing and high risk of damage to his sight and other vital organs. With Medulloblastoma It as a very high chance of it reoccurring within the next 5years. Our lives have been turned upside down & our future with Luca is very limited as we do not know if the treatment will work.  we do not know what damage the cancer will leave and the life changing side effects to treatment. The total devastation the illness has caused our lives will never be the same.
