WSGA Children in Need Rickshaw Challenge

Tax deductible
The charity sector like all sectors is struggling for funds this year and the impact on children’s services and child poverty in the UK will be catastrophic.

You may be already aware that the Children in Need ‘Rickshaw Challenge’ has come to West Sussex. This annual part of the Children in Need event has raised over £35m in the nine years it has run.

Due to Covid restrictions it cannot take its normal path across the whole of the UK, instead the whole event will be run behind closed doors on the Goodwood Estate, using the race track, race course and the estate grounds, to complete the 332 mile challenge.

The format is the same as all previous years with the rickshaw cyclists being six young people who have directly benefitted from Children in Need funding, also supported by Matt Baker and the challenge is featured on the BBC One show every night.

We do appreciate that some businesses in the West Sussex Growers family have had a tough year and fully understand if you are unable to fund raise or make a donation. However, if you are able to support in any way, it would be fantastic to demonstrate the resilience and generosity of the Horticulture/Food industry in West Sussex in these troubled times.
