Hello,

My name is Kim Stealey, and I serve on the board of Concho Valley PAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving), the largest pet rescue organization in San Angelo, Texas.

In August 2024, my dear friend Jenie Wilson and her children received devastating news. Her husband — unbeknownst to Jenie or the children — was arrested for possessing child pornography. Jenie had been married to him for 20 years, and they dated for four years before marriage. As bodycam footage later released on YouTube shows, she was utterly blindsided when authorities confronted her with their suspicions. True to her character, her first thoughts were for the safety and well-being of her children and pets.

Jenie is the Executive Director of Concho Valley PAWS, and her life — and the lives of her three adopted children — has been forever changed. In the past year, they have endured unimaginable pain: public shaming, false accusations, embarrassment, and ridicule, all for something they had no knowledge of and no part in.

The fallout has been profound. Two younger children who were in the process of adoption were removed from their home. Jenie also made the difficult decision to homeschool her children after relentless cruelty from others who knew little about the situation. Through it all, she has remained steadfast, focusing on protecting and nurturing her family.

When the YouTube footage was released, countless strangers were deeply moved by Jenie’s strength and compassion. Many reached out asking how they could help. When I mentioned the idea of starting a GoFundMe, Jenie’s only request was:

“Only if people will know that it is for the benefit of my children. My soul hurts for them so badly.”

That is who Jenie is — a Godly, remarkable woman whose deepest desire was to be a mother, and who always puts others before herself.

This fundraiser is a chance for all of us to rally around Jenie and her children. Your gift will go toward providing them with stability, healing, and hope as they face the challenges of this new reality.
