Wrexham’s military veterans are dusting off their boots, taping up their knees and getting ready for a proper community showdown. They’ll be taking on none other than the Croeshowell Casuals, a side known more for their post-match pint form than their passing game.

The Casuals talk a big game and they’ll probably bring their own commentary team, but the veterans are coming in with discipline, grit and a few years of tactical nous. Expect crunching tackles, some ambitious overhead kicks, and a midfield battle that’ll look more like a dad dance-off than a Champions League final.

But behind the laughs and the local rivalry, there’s a serious cause. This match is raising money for YourSpace, a brilliant charity based in Llay that supports young people with Autism and their families. They create a safe and welcoming space for kids to grow, connect and thrive, while giving parents and carers the help they need too.
