Support my Weldmar Trek to Madagascar in November!

So here’s the story…over the years together with friends and family I have been raising money for Weldmar with Christmas wreath-making….and many other events!

This year there will be more wreaths, of course there will, please see dates below, and I’ve taken on a challenge for Weldmar!

A 12 day trek in Madagascar leaving on 9th November 2024.

We'll be trekking through Andringitra National Park, the team will attempt to summit the island’s second highest peak Pic Boby and neighbouring Chameleon Peak. I’m funding the trip myself but I’d like to raise as much as I can for Weldmar before I go. Please support...

All proceeds to go to Weldmar HospiceCare.

Friday 6th December and Saturday 7th December for Morning Workshops, 10am-12.30 £20 pp. festive, fun, Xmas jumpers and carols to get you in the mood! Moss, ring, refreshments and ideas supplied to make a stunning traditional wreath to decorate your home, a what-to-bring list will be sent nearer, please bring lots of greenery! Please Book, limited spaces. We would love to see you.... come and join us, lots of happy people, a barn full of joy!

As usual I'm also taking Wreath orders, £20 each, beautiful wreaths made by our team of lovelies and available to collect on Monday 9th/10th December from Chideock. Order soon

It’s my 16th year of making charity wreaths, money raised going to Breakthrough, Prostate Cancer, Dorchester Scanner Appeal, Air Ambulance, Cancer Research, Dorchester Hospital Cancer Unit, West Bay Discovery Centre and the last 5 years to our Weldmar Hospice in Dorchester. Nearly 24k from Christmas wreaths!

I'd like to thank my lovely helpers, family and friends, who come every year and are amazing! It's always a team effort!

UPDATE ...our Tea Party for Weldmar was held on a sunny Sunday afternoon on the 9th June we filled the beautiful Tithe Barn at Symondsbury with 150 special people, tables were laid with linen, vintage china, flowers and the music played and we served a delicious afternoon tea. Everything was donated, we had an awesome team of helpers and together we raised over £5k for Weldmar! Thank you so much.

Weldmar Hospicecare is an independent charity providing specialist care for adults in Dorset with a life limiting illness, such as cancer, Motor Neurone Disease or heart disease, and support for their loved ones. Our compassionate approach supports patients and their families in their own homes, in the local community, and in our hospice. All services are provided free of charge. 20% of our funds are provided by the NHS - we must raise the remaining £26,000 a day with the support of the local community.
