My name is Andrew O. I am a Boy Scout in Troop 551, and I have been in scouting for 11 years. The purpose of this fundraiser is to get money for my Eagle Scout Project! Every year, we volunteer for Wreaths Across America, which is a national charity that puts wreaths on veteran's graves during christmastime, and we noticed in 2025, that the flags that used to mark veteran's graves were no longer there. This was an issue, because the flag markers allowed the event to flow smoothly, and it saved time. The local chapter oragnizer of the event told us that the supplier that they borrowed the flags from had cut them off after the flags got rained on during the 2024 event. My project is to buy 1,500 flags, and build a military style footlocker so that those flags can be stored for multiple years of use, and Wreaths Across America wouldn't have to borrow flags from other sources anymore. Any surplus money will be donated to the Wreaths Across America charity to buy wreaths for following years.
