Our hearts are heavy and our minds are unrest... It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Robert Edward Stanton on 8/13/2021.  A loving husband, father, uncle, friend... known to all as 'the man with the biggest heart".

We got to know Bob (as we knew him) when our sister, Mindy, told us he was "the one".  After meeting him, we knew she was right.  Bob thought Mindy was the most beautiful woman he had EVER met.  He was her Prince Charming.  They began their love affair in true Disney fashion after professing their love in front of their family and friends on June 24, 2003.

"Biggest Heart" Bob had found his princess and embarked on the journey of marital bliss and beloved step-father to Mindy's precious daughter, Raina Sanders.  Mindy became the step-mother (not like we know from Disney stories) to Bob's precious first son, Tyrus.  Life was grand but a love like that has to grow!!  We excitedly witnessed the birth of Jude Michael in April of 2004 and Everest Andrew in March of 2007.  Complete is the common phrase in this fairytale!

Magic only works in the happiest of environments and as with all fairytales, they have to end.  We've seen it in Cinderella, Snow White and so many more...it's the 'circle of life'.  Mindy Stanton had passed away after 17 beautiful years together and Bob and their family were absolutely devastated.  Even with a heart trying to mend, he had to keep going for the sake of his school aged boys, Jude and Everest.

We are all saddened and shocked by this news but our family has to focus on the children.  We are currently trying to figure out their futures.  At this time, we have not found any funds to assist them with the tough road ahead.  We are putting together this account to help relieve them of the burdens no child should ever have to go bear.

Bob was an extremely talented artist.  Bringing smiles to all our children's faces across the world with favorites like The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Lion King, Lilo & Stitch to name a few. He wanted to write a child's book about a piece of lint...I truly believe that only Bob's artistry would have brought Mr. Lint to life.

Bob graduated Orange Coast College in 1983 with an Arts degree in illustration and animation.  He started his career as a Background Artist for Walt Disney World and eventually went on to become the Background Supervisor Disney Feature Animation, Art Director "John Henry" animated short.  Worked as head of background dept. on "Mulan" and " Lilo and Stitch". Also worked on "John Henry" as an Art Director. Worked on "Oliver and Company, Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and The Beast, Lion King, and Brother Bear," as a background artist.

In 2003, he went to work for Project Firefly Animation Studios as Art Director, Background Lead and Staff Artist.  A Color Design Artist, creating color keys for the lighters and matte paintings for Blue Sky Studios in 2007.  Senior Concept Artist for n-Space, Senior Artist for ZeeGee Games, Art Director in Production Design for Creative Group, Art Director for Disney Interactive Media Group, Studio Art Director for Jam City and Waysun Inc.
